Planner / Senior Planner

Job Summary:

Be part of a team responsible for the surveying and planning of new fiberoptic and CATV access / core networks which are cost effective and fit for purpose, to precise client specifications and timescales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To design suitable civils and network infrastructure which are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose and, future-proof

Delivery and Compliance Manager

Salary: Sufficient

Location: Field Based

Job Summary:

To take ownership for the delivery of geographic projects for the company. Providing organisation and management of in house and contract resource to complete the projects safely and effectively. The role holder will tenaciously seek to resolve any problems that may occur through the course of the project, escalating when needed to ensure that all projects deliver to their programme and financial targets.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of day to day project delivery within a geographical area, including delivery to requirements, safety, quality, street works and supplier performance

  • Drive a “Safety First and “Right First Time” culture across the field operations

  • Manage and lead FTE field engineers responsible for ongoing civils and cabling contracts 

  • Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends are investigated competently and corrective action is taken where and when appropriate

Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Salary: Sufficient

Job Summary:

The Programme Office Manager is responsible for the co-ordination and in conjunction with the field delivery managers, delivery of all NIO Comm build projects to agreed timescales and specifications. Accountable for the permitting and Street Works back office functions within NIO Comm including co-ordination of all FPN’s, Defects, etc. Accountable as single point of control between all relevant parties ensuring that every task has the necessary details/equipment and resource required to meet the agreed scheduled dates. This includes ensuring that all resources are optimally utilized across the business

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide project management, direction and control to all works completed by NIO comm

  • To establish and maintain key interfaces and relationships, both within NIO comm and with any required external suppliers or partners.

  • Ensure internal and external reporting requirements of projects and programmes are collated, analysed and distributed to all required parties.

  • Ensure all permitting requirements are met.

  • To provide field teams with all relevant detail to ensure delivery within timelines and to agreed standards and legislation.

  • To manage changes in delivery scope by the use of appropriate ‘change control’ procedures as well as managing all risk and issues using established procedures.

Job Summary:

To be an integral part of a multidisciplined build team delivering large broadband network developments across London and the South of England. To be part of a rapidly growing, leading-edge network delivery company, working for some of the biggest telecom operators in the UK. This role takes the lead on all Cabling activities within their individual build team but will also support the Build Manager/Project Supervisor in the delivery of the whole project.

  • To prove and cable all types and sizes of underground duct systems (including blown systems) with all types of cable, copper, coax or fibre.

  • To produce accurate records of works undertaken to the company’s standards

  • To be complete Openreach standard Network Adjustment, A55 and asbuilts forms/reporting accurately

  • To read and interpret planning packs, identifying and overcoming issues to provide the required outcome

  • To be able to communicate any amendments clearly and effectively

  • Complete Copper/Coax jointing/connectorisation

  • Self-audit all work and ensure it meets all applicable technical and operational quality standards

Job Summary:

The Project Co-Ordinator is responsible for assisting with the co-ordination and delivery of all projects relating to the build and activation of a new infrastructure in line with operational guidelines and specification.

Responsible for ensuring all areas provide update information to enable delivery to the set targets and timeframes as set out within the build schedule. A point of control between all relevant parties ensuring that every task is monitored, chased and updated as necessary to meet the agreed scheduled dates.

Provide accurate updates of status of job/delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To Provide accurate updates of status of job/delivery

  • To produce the required reports to assist with build delivery

  • To update Finance of works completed and ready for invoicing

  • Preparing project updates

  • Maintain project schedules

  • Host the daily call with the Build Manager, Senior Site Project Managers and Delivery and Compliance Managers

  • Inputting new work registrations to inform the LA of our completed works

  • Run reports across the Permitting systems to ensure tasks are actioned within timescales and financial penalties are kept to a minimum

  • Ensure all noticing requirements are met

  • Own relationships with Local Authorities to discuss all Permitting matters. This may include requesting early starts, challenging defects and querying FPNs (Fixed Penalty Notices)

  • Ensure permits and packs are collated and provided to the crew in a timely manner to ensure they can work safely and legally

  • Co-ordinate the Crew Schedule of Works, working with the Project Managers to deliver a workstack across all of NIO Comm’s clients

  • Liaising with in house and external crews regarding job requirements and ensuring all permits are fit for purpose, inputting start/stop notices on permits

  • Oversee defects and interims ensuring KPI targets are met and financial penalties are kept to a minimum

  • Maintain and update and tools such as Monday.com

  • Point of contact for clients regarding general queries including permits, defects and FPNs

Knowledge and Skills:

Programme Planning Coordinator

Job Summary:

The PP Coordinator will support the Head of Programming Projects, working closely with the client delivery teams, they will be responsible for maintaining and updating the company programme Gantt via MSP..

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build, update and maintain the company programme Gantt using Microsoft Project

  • Working with the Head of Programming Projects and client delivery teams to ensure that all milestones are met and any acceleration or delays to a programme are duly recorded onto the Gantt

  • Assist with the compilation of project reports

  • Take minutes/ actions from meetings, document and distribute

  • Monitor, chase and report on outstanding actions and deliverables (internal and external)

  • Maintain documents on secondary storage locations (e.g., SharePoint/ Microsoft Teams)

  • Any other tasks that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties
