Delivery and Compliance Manager

Location: Field Based

Salary: Competitive

Job Summary:

To take ownership for the delivery of geographic projects for the company. Providing organisation and management of in house and contract resource to complete the projects safely and effectively. The role holder will tenaciously seek to resolve any problems that may occur through the course of the project, escalating when needed to ensure that all projects deliver to their programme and financial targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of day to day project delivery within a geographical area, including delivery to requirements, safety, quality, street works and supplier performance

  • Drive a “Safety First and “Right First Time” culture across the field operations

  • Manage and lead FTE field engineers responsible for ongoing civils and cabling contracts 

  • Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends are investigated competently and corrective action is taken where and when appropriate

  • Through a close working relationship with the PMO and Build teams, identify at the earliest opportunity risks to delivering the project

  • Manage the operational relationship with all suppliers and have monitoring in place to ensure that the Company’s standards are adhered to and met 

  • All direct reports to have clear performance objectives and regular 1:1 meetings

  • Manage staff, oversee work schedules and assign specific duties accordingly 

  • Deliver a quality service to the client ensuring that performance standards and contractual KPI’s are met

  • Carry out regular audits to ensure the highest standard of safety, service and workmanship is being achieved

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory and management experience with the utilities industry

  • Proven track record of successfully managing teams, including contractor partners 

  • Civils project experience including both the field and back office elements, i.e. noticing

  • Ability to understand, manage and deliver KPI’ s 

  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage field teams

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Innovative, creative and proactive with a solution-oriented approach

  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times

  • Full, clean driving licence

Trainee Planner

Location: Head Office - Albourne

Salary: Competitive

Job Summary:

This is a trainee position, learning to survey and plan new fibre and CATV access / core networks which are cost effective & fit for purpose, to precise client specifications and timescales.

Full training will be provided to successful candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn to design suitable civils and network infrastructure which are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose and, future-proof

  • Learn to produce detailed industry-standard documentation of that design

  • Ensure accidents, incidents, near misses & quality failures are reported to you line Manager

  • Gain a basic understanding of Broadband Networks & Digital TV Technologies

  • Gain a good understanding of fibre & CATV Network architecture & design

Key Requirements:

  • No previous experience is required for this position as full training will be provided

  • A desire to learn new skills and methods

  • Comfortable with use of all Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Current clean full UK driving license
